Modular ROV Friction Lifting Clamp
The clamp will be used for an umbilical repair job.
The modularity makes it perfect for re-configuration and after the first operation it will be re-configured by Butler in Brazil and sent out for a second job.
After the rental period it will be returned to Butler for demobilization, ready for a new job.
As the clamp is modular, outer product diameter can vary from 100mm to 230mm using exchangeabe pad inserts.
It is built up by modules, and number of modules is defined by total load, allowable squeeze towards the product and coefficient of friction.
Our modular friction clamps are delivered for different weight classes, and this one has a maximum SWL of 35Te.
The clamp is operated by an ROV using torque tool to open and close the clamp.
